Old Odd Optik was founded out of a passion for filmmaking practice. It is a journey to rediscover old cinema equipment in a new form. Filmmaker Debraj Naiya has been collecting these old lenses for a very long time, and giving them new life through his filmmaking practice. These days, cinema is not as expensive as it once was, but it is still expensive. Many filmmakers think cinema is personal. Debraj was one of them. But it is a collaborative work. It needs collaboration to survive — to exchange our thoughts, our passion, and our creative freedom.
